Apples are produced by tress from the Rosaceaefamily. They are characterized by their ovoid shape, which can be elongated or round, and contain a few brown seeds. Their skin is usually bright and smooth, and their color separates them into four groups: green, red, yellow and bicolor, each with different flavors, aromas and quality of their pulp. With hard or soft pulps, apples are always refreshing and juicy, and their taste can vary widely in the range from very sweet to very acid. Apples can be consumed raw or cooked, and alone or combined with other foods.
